Queen Gives Permission…

Queen Elizabeth gave special permission for Prince William and Prince George to fly together on their trip to New Zealand, since royal protocol dictates direct heirs not travel on the same plane, in case of an accident.

Prince William and  Kate arrived in New Zealand to cheers from hundreds of locals who braved windy and rainy  weather to catch a glimpse of the royal couple and baby George. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are on a three-week tour of New Zealand and Australia, which has been structured around Prince George. Unlike normal royal visits, there will be more rest days. The royal couple will have three bases from which they will be taking day trips, rather than hopping from one city to the next.

The royal couple and baby George are traveling  with a 11 person entourage, which includes George’s new nanny. Kate and William will be spending two nights away from Prince George when they visit the South Island of New Zealand and Uluru in Australia. Prince George will be staying on  the sprawling grounds of the Government House of Wellington, Admiralty House in Sydney and Government House in Canberra, away from the prying eyes of the public.

In April 1983, 10-month-old Prince William also played on the lawn of Auckland Government House, so just like his father 31 years ago, Prince George’s debut is certain to provide the world with an enhance glimpse of the future King of England.
